is it too late for veg plants?
I had meant to order one of those packs of mixed plants - purple sprouting,
cabbage etc that you get in August to fill the veg patch and get some early produce. I was busy and I didn't and I thought I had missed the boat now but I saw in the weekend paper a 'Reader Offer' of exactly that thing: http://www.guardianoffers.co.uk/mall...getable-plants But is it really worth planting them now?
