Hi, I'm looking for some help. I've been given some bleeding heart
bulbs? roots? They look like bunches of soft twisted twigs? Can anyone
tell me how to plant them properly with regards to depth etc and any
other advise or comments about these plants? Many thanks in advance
for any help.

They're in flower now so it doesn't seem like a good time.

Bung em in a tub and hope for the best?

It is best if you pot it up in 6" pots (to the crown) and when they are
well rooted in about six weeks plant them where you intend them to
flower in an area where there is semi or full shade. Use some bonemeal
when planting and make sure to keep them moist.

It will probably die down soon after mid-summer and so it is best to
plant something near to it which will fill the space which it will leave
for the latter part of the season.

Divide and replant the roots during suitable weather between October and
March, although you may wish yours to get well established before you
interfere with their tranquillity.
