Default autumn-flowering plants getting it wrong...

Hi,

I don't know if others have the same experience, but I noticed in my
garden that Schizostylis and Japanese anemones are starting to bloom
(both ususally flowering in September or even later)! I'm in
Edinburgh... where , as opposed to many places in UK, we had a very mild
winter...
