autumn-flowering plants getting it wrong...
Hi,
I don't know if others have the same experience, but I noticed in my garden that Schizostylis and Japanese anemones are starting to bloom (both ususally flowering in September or even later)! I'm in Edinburgh... where , as opposed to many places in UK, we had a very mild winter... Gogo |

Last year, though, they burst into flower in early June and were gone over and the foliage was starting to die back by the end of July. But then, last year I was picking apples in July; this year the trees are just starting to flower now. And I've been dead-heading some fuschias today. Such is life Cheers, Jake ======================================= Urgling from Swansea Bay. Dave's at that end; I'm at this end. Bill G's in the middle. Come to think of it, where is Bill G these days? |
