Charlie,

Tried a plant of Boquila in the warmest, sheltered spot in my garden but did not survive the winter. Grows successfully in the greenhouse to @5 feet tall.

Do you grow the Boquila, outside? I have a large seed grown plant needing a
new home out in the garden but I wasn't sure how tough it is.

I grow Bomarea, Lapageria and Philesia and have recently germinated a batch
of Lardibazala as you may notice more interested in climbing plants than
straight forward shrubs!

I have found a good source of seed to be www.chileflora.com especially since
he started seeding the whole pod for some stuff rather than dry seed.

Sounds like I may have to rethink the Boquila!

I use the site on a regular basis for information/help with ID. Never had any seed from them. Sounds like I will have to give them a try.

I have found a good source of seed to be Homepage of ChileFlora.com, a supplier of native Chilean seeds and seedlings and organizer of plant-watching tours especially since
he started seeding the whole pod for some stuff rather than dry seed.
