I wonder if any urgler has visited this place? We've just had a call
about this garden but have never heard of it which, after looking at
the web site, seems a big gap in our knowledge. In our defence, it has
been opened to the public only quite recently. It looks absolutely

massive amount to it. They - or part of that family, at least - ended

large, but well worth a visit.

Popped over last year as it is only a short drive of an 45 mins to an
hour. Like a lot of really good designed gardens the site isn't
actually that big but is so well designed that it appears much larger
when you are amongst it, makes it nice if you have someone who finds
walking a lot uncomfortable though there are some steeper parts up to
the old Somerset and Dorset Viaduct and as their web site states not
all paths are yet wheelchair friendly. There is a small vegetable
garden and one of the things they were growing was the Martock variety
of Broad Bean which have a long history.

At the time of our visit they had some spare and if you asked would
let you have some for a donation. Unfortunately slugs got ours.
I would recommend a visit if passing.


The adjoining designer village is just like many similar ones with
specialised clothing stores and shops which seem to think taking the
contents of an old shed, slapping some old dried up undercoat over the
items and persuading the purchaser that by spending a fortune on
recycling old tat in this manner it will save the planet so must be
worth the price tag.
Personally I don't find that interesting for a day out but if it
keeps old buildings from becoming a ruin then fair enough.

don't enjoy shopping much! But I would like to see the garden and

Last time I passed it was by some bushes at the side of the building!

Yes, I thought the foodie places looked rather glam!

The owners have a large farm estate near Glastonbury and much of the
Organic produce is available at the outlets at Kinver Court. A grain
they grow Spelt, is promoted to such an extent that it reminded me of
Monty Python and the Spam Sketch.

Despite what I said about the shops I should have added that the Cafe
meal we had was very good.
