Raspberries
My autumn fruiting raspberries started quite early, but now the
early canes, which have not grown as tall as usual, have finished and the leaves are turning. New canes are still coming up, so I'm wondering if I could cut the canes back now, to a) give the new canes more room/light and b) help protect my arms and legs from scratches as I search for fruit among them. Normally I don't cut back until Jan/Feb -- Roger T 700 ft up in Mid-Wales |
