It just might trickle enough charge in to get started. There are a couple of net sites that crack open devices to show you what is inside and how to get at it. I think I still have my daughter's 800 which died down a toilet. Seems like this happens a lot with girls, keeping the phone in a back pocket. I don't know about that particular model but there is usually some quirky. Hold this button in for two minutes whilst whistling "Rule Britannia" and crossing your toes that will force a hard system reset. You need to look up the exact description of which buttons and for how long on the internet. It won't work with the phone on charge so if the battery is stone dead you are out of luck. It will blink its LED at you after about 10s if it is willing to play. I have done it for friends generic dead Android devices with mixed results. One went into native Chinese mode! Another (my own personal phone) refused to do anything and was returned under warrantee to the maker for a swap. I found out about the magic key chords for hard system reset from their helpline. I don't know if doing this will trash any user memory storage in the phone - it might well! I suspect everything on the dead phone is now lost forever unless you are prepared to take it to an expensive data recovery service. -- Regards, Martin Brown |
