Default Murderous cuckoo?

I have a family of blue tits nesting in a box in my garden. I am also lucky
enough to have a pair of lesser spotted woodpeckers which visit to feed on
the nut feeder. However, one of the cuckoos has the habit of landing on the
nesting box and pecking around the opening - are the tits in any danger, or
am I being paranoid?
