Default Shrubs for a screen

Hi I want to create a screen to hide bins using shrubs, the area is under
large mature trees that drop their leaves in autumn. they get full sun from
late afternoon in the summer for about 3 hrs. can anyone suggest something
that will grow about 3ft and be nice to look at.

Thanks in advance

Choisya Sundance would be good
Variegated Eleagnus but it grows slowly
Variegated Privets are pretty quick and stay fan shaped so do not take up
too much room
