Lupin
Hi All, Last April I took a cutting of a favourite perenial lupin, just as it was coming up. Did all the stuff it says in the book and it's been in the greenhouse happily living on the floor between two cucumber plants for the past couple of months. Its enormous now, the roots are begining to show through the bottom of the pot (5") and it's flowering. The book I've got suggests that after taking the cutting forget about it till spring, but as it's so big and flowering, neither of which I expected to be honest, it's kinda hard to forget about it. What do I do with it now?...Should I pot it on? Over winter it in the glasshouse and plant it out in spring? put it out now? Bearing in mind we've had nothing but rain for the past two weeks, howling winds and the temps aren't getting much above 18deg daytime 10deg night Im a bit disinclined to put it out in the elements, even to harden off. Any advise welcome. -- Shan (Ireland) http://ukdiscus.com/main.htm |
