Basic question....[blush]

If you sow seeds for flowers now, will they flower this summer? How long does it take for plants to grow? I have no experience with plants/flowers/gardens/anything green!!

I'm sowing some seeds indoors in seed trays - when these are big enough i plan to move them outside, but will they flower this year??

Sorry about this - I know I sound as clueless as they come - thats cos I am right now!!
