Light-ish gardening gauntlet type gloves
Last year I bought a pair of gardening gauntlets with leather palms at
a bit over £1 when they were marked down by Woolworths. Having had a pair of cotton gloves, that cost more than twice as much, from one of the 'sheds' give at a seam on first use, I needed some light gloves anyway. I didn't expect the Woolies ones to last long, but I have instead found them the best value gloves I have had. They have had fairly heavy use, but the fact that the leather is 'wrapped round' the whole of the first finger joint has meant that I have not had the fingertips wear through at all, although recently the seams in the leather of the finger that gets most wear finally wore through. I went back for more, this time at the full price of £2.99 - much less than those plasticky-coated jersey ones. This is a genuine recommendation, I am not associated with either Woolworths or whoever makes or supplies the gloves to them. Regards, VivienB |
