Default Strawberries and tomatoes in hanging baskets

Hi Everyone
Just a quick question, is it alright to plant stawberry plants (6 of) and
cherry tomato plants (also 6 of) in hanging baskets.
I planted both in the garden last year but don't have the space this year,
also the starwberries suffered badly from the slugs.
I have no idea what type the strawberries are but the tomatoes are cherry
'chadwick'
Any advice appreciated
Regards
Kim
