Australian runner beans!
Checking over the runner beans today, I discovered one which had the root growing out of the ground, on digging it out I found the shoot which by now should have been developing nicely was growing downwards. Never ever seen anything like that before, up until now if they have been planted the wrong way up, the bean has sensed this and grown the right way up. I understood plants had a sense of gravity, obviously your seed had it's control upside-down. Did you then plant it the right way up to see what happens? i.e. will it try to turn over again. -- Regards Bob Some photos of my plants at..... |
