Default Hellebore sale Much Hadham 12th

If you like Hellebores then in case you didn't know there's a specialist
sale at Hopleys, Much Hadham, Herts, SG10 6BU. This Saturday and Sunday
(12th-13th) 11am - 4pm
This year the grower (Herts-hellebores) says she has Dido type doubles
(the dainty jobs with pointed petals) and anemone centred ones.

Haven't been before but those who have, say that you can get really nice
plants though not sure about the price . Seems to be from 9 pounds to
about 15 pounds for the really special ones.

Think you can pre-order for collection from her web site.

Janet

p.s. Why can't there be a 'real time' calendar on the web about
gardening stuff such as sales and talks etc? It would be nice on a
sudden free day, to be able to pick an event and go. Sometimes if you
live on the edge of a region there's stuff you never know is happening
just over the border.

And to add to my remarks I don't just mean the high falutin' stuff but
half price sales, special days etc that happen locally and don't get
advertised much. Surely this sort of newsgroup is well placed to run a
sort of 'add your own event' type calendar so that local stuff can go on
for the benefit of those who don't mind travelling from other areas but
wouldn't have seen the local adverts etc.

That would be a good idea. As for the sale at Much Hadham, that is not
too far from me. We have to go to a funeral in Wales on Friday but I
may be able to get there on Sunday. Thanks Janet.
