Default Mulch fashion!

Hi all

Further to my previous thread
I have a question on mulch
for my planters

The planters will be white with dark paving around them
and I wanted a mulch to complement the scheme
I dont think the traditional bark will do anything for it.

What about using dark smooth gravel (like mini cobbles)

Any advice appreciated

Regards

Niall

Works fine.... the basic necessity is that it keeps out the light.
For cobble and stone mulches you can increase the effectiveness by
laying a black, porous membrane underneath. This helps to keep the
stones clean too.
