Mine was already on the way down after peaking a couple of weeksback,
so no real weather damage. New leaves sprouting everywhere now.

Not sure I understand the question - if you mean "what damaged them?" the
answer is undoubtedly frost as they're delicate things when it comes to the
weather - a sharp frost will really do a magnolia some damage...
