Hi i've noticed that some people post with a link to a web page to show off
a picture, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a site/s that let you
upload pictures that I could use for free?
Unfortunately I haven't got a web page.
As they say a picture speaks a 1000 words.

There's a group called, alt.binaries.pictures.gardens
You can post it there if you have access, although I don't know if BT
carries any binary groups.

The problem with BT is, as usual, they don't carry all posts, which you will
notice in time when one of the regulars like JanB posts numbered pictures
and you only see half.
Indeed I just looked and your picture doesn't show..... yet.

Normal behaviour, and may well not be BT's problem. News is handled much
like email, it gets second priority and slots into gaps between other
traffic. News gets passed around many servers, and bulky binaries in
particular may take time to diffues from a server where it was posted to
that where it is being read from.

Possibly not, but BT are infamous for having vrap news servers, have
done for a number of years in fact.

Hmmm, I'm on Blueyonder and I can download immense files from binary groups,
easily a couple of gigabytes which are posted in 400kb segments...it's not
very often that any of them are missing, I can get full music albums, full
length films and large applications like Microsoft Office or Windows XP
without any trouble, maybe you need to pay for a decent news service,
Blueyonder's is free I might add (they have two, one for binaries and one
for text, the binary server only has retention of a few days but the text
only has retention of eight months)
