Splitting apart tulips
I realize that I have to wait until fall time, but how is the best way to
divide tulips? How often do you have to do it. I have some that are 3 years old and are getting pretty crowded, so I assume they can be divided. Dwayne |

How often depends on how happy the tulips are, as evidenced by multiplication. Thanks Gary. What will happen if I don't dig them up and divide them?
I live on a corner lot and have planted about 6 dwarf fruit trees along the street. I put scalloped cement edging blocks around each tree, forming a 2 foot square, 4 inch high wall around each tree. Then I planted tulips inside each of them. That was 3 years ago, and the tulip display is really impressive, but there is getting to be a lot of them. If I leave them alone, will I get in trouble? Thanks again, Dwayne "Gary Woods" wrote in message ... "Dwayne" wrote: Gary Woods AKA K2AHC- PGP key on request, or at home.earthlink.net/~garygarlic Zone 5/6 in upstate New York, 1420' elevation.
