Default Hazel Tree

Hi everyone
I have bought a hazel tree for my garden and put it in alarge planter with crock at the bottom and plenty of drainage. It is a lovely plant very spitally twigs and looks good in my Japanese style garden. However, it has now become very 'dry' looking on the top branches and is wilting. I have watered it every day, but made sure not to over water it. I have just given it some food. I have only had this about two months and am wondering if I am doing something wrong. It gets sun in the morning and is in partial shade in the afternoon. Please help if you can.
Thanks Dizz xx
