Anyone know anything about planting cypress?

Not personally. But it's largely the same as planting D. fir. A friend
just planted the last Leland cypress for the year, and is rather happy
about it. These trees grow _very_ rapidly here in OR and I suspect
will have a lot of demand shortly. They have the strength of D. fir
and some of the rot-resistance of Western Redcedar.
