As long as the parents know where the nest is located now, they should
resume parenting. Keep an eye out to make sure the chicks are being fed
when they squawk, otherwise you might have to take on the parenting role
yourself.

(The birds are small black and white birds, larger than a willy wagtail,
smaller than a butcher bird. I have no idea what they are called, but
have stayed as a pair caring for the nest until now).
