Small insect/Beetle
I have a very small insect/beetle invading my garden, and having a lovel
time. It is also coming inside the house, and is in the dogs coats. It is small, and has vivid red & green band stripes across its body. Can anyone help me to identify this pest (to say the least), and help me to eradicate it. JILLSIE. |

Small insect/Beetle
It is very difficult to get an idea of what it is without (a) your
approximate location and (b) more details - like what size, etc. If you are in eastern Australia then it *could* be a red-and-blue beetle (also called a football beetle), which can reach huge populations. This is actually a beneficial beetle - they eat aphids and caterpillar eggs. However, your description is vague and could apply to any number of little creatures, including sucking bugs (which can look like beetles). If you are in a city then you could capture some and take them into you nearest university of dept. of Ag. office to get identified. Hope this helps, Tish On Thu, 6 Feb 2003 11:47:35 +1100, "D_Mozina" wrote: I have a very small insect/beetle invading my garden, and having a lovel time.
