Defoliating My Schefflera
Greetings All,
I've been reading a bit on the web about defoliating scheffleras; how it's supposed to make smaller, fresher leaves spring forth. I'm interested in such a thing, since my leaves seem to be all out of proportion to my tree. However, nobody mentions the actual technique for defoliating a Schefflera (do I take off the leaf, half the stem, the whole stem?), nor the best time of year to do it, nor how long it will take for new leaves to come forth. Can anyone help with this? Regards, Alexander Fraser North of Toronto, Canada USDA Zone 3B CanSIS Zone 4A |
