Default [IBC] Hurricane Wilma and Loss

Hi group:
I just wanted to check-in with everyone to let you know I am safe. We got hit hard here in Ft Lauderdale, FL with hurricane Wilma but our house is safe and so are we. I did cry when I saw my garden but I was able to rescue some of my plants after being buried in debri. I do count my blessings though. I hope everyone else in the path of the storm is also safe. We lost power, running water and phone service until yesterday. Next storm I will learn to collect rain water for my plants because some of my plants do not look very good because I was unable to water them for several days.

Unfortunately, my father did pass away yesterday. This has been my greatest loss. He had recently been diagnosed with cancer and had been in ICU for about a month.

If anyone else was in the path of the storm, please check-in with us as soon as you can. I want to make sure you are safe.

Take care and God bless you all!
Martha
