[IBC] Preparation for collecting
"Billy M. Rhodes" wrote in message ... I figure it's a good time to start it off as a specimen? What I plan to do is cut it down from 3.5 feet, but I'm not too sure of how much to cut off. Do I cut it to the first small branch or do I leave a few? Or do I pick one that I like, which would leave it at about a foot tall? If I missed something I apologize, but this questions requires knowledge of: I realized I forgot all this info after I turned the computer off and went to bed. :P 1. where in general you live. Niagara region Ontario Canada 2. the species of tree. Maple - not sure which, we have about 5 different possibilities. Green leaves though, that start out reddish. 3. general growing conditions, watering, soil, light. The soil is is a mixture of 'old crap' mixed in with topsoil. We built a raised garden on top of the lawn. Being spring, there is a lot of rain. We are still adding plants and bushes to this garden, so watering is frequent throughout the summer. The garden gets sun between about 10 am to 7ish in the evening. -- Spectre |
