people keeping them indoors on their coffee tables. I tell them to
put them outside.

My local grocery store hauled out some juniper mallsai this week- I
was too demoralized to talk to the manager.

I think they are the "last minute" or "impulse" gift for the father who
has everything. I especially think some daughters feel their fathers need a
nice hobby and Bonsai might be it.

I bought one of them early this spring. Interesting bark and trunk. Seems
to be doing OK now that the weather is warming up. Will need winter
protection in zone 7.
