Default [IBC] emergency spruce repot !

Hey folks....this week I nticed the needles on the upper third of this
collected spruce beginning to droop...we've had soooo much rain here lately , I was
starting to worry about a few of my collection . Well my worries were
cofirmed with this one...the soil just never seemed to dry out...though it was really
free draining earlier in the spring. Sooo...this morning I pulled
it...dumped all the old stuff out barely combed out the blackish roots with fingers
only...still some whitish ones but not many : (... now its got new soil with
nearly no organic at all...just coarse sand and fired clay...watered it in and
am hoping for the best !...sound like the right thing to do ?...not that i can
change it now !!!....keep misting foliage regularly ? ...as usual...thanks so
much !!!...BobO...western Ma
