I thought folks on the list would be interested in these
statistics from our hosts at LSoft:

From an LSoft technician:

"As a point of reference, I just checked the virus statistics on
the
Home server: out of the 3615 infected messages that it trapped
since
Jan 1 of this year, 1321 were MyDoom (since Jan 27) and 1423 were
Sobig. So in one week, MyDoom was received and discarded 1321
times
(would have been distributed to 389428 recipients otherwise!).
Compare that to the 905 infected messages received for the entire
month of April 2003. Nasty stuff!"

that at least one IBCer is infected with MyDoom, since it has
been sent under MY e-mail address to several people (and I DON"T
HAVE IT!). This indicates that it PROBABLY is one who uses
rec.arts.bonsai.
