[IBC] working on boxes!
A few days ago I went up to a local place that sells rider mowers,
things of that sort, and browsed through their free lumber/pallet pile, which usually has good stuff in it. I came away with a big pile of pine boards from crates that are 3/4" x 4", perfect for the sides of boxes. I also found some old ply wood shelving that is good for bottoms. So, in the sunny, balmy weather I'm merrily sawing wood, piling up pieces to assemble tonight. There's nothing like free wood to brighten one's perspective on life. Cheers
Kev Bailey Vale Of Clwyd, North Wales Thanks Billy and Craig. I bought tanalised timber for my boxes this year as I had run out of scavenged stuff. Cost me about £20 (approx $40) for 14 large boxes. This wasn't unbearably expensive but I'd much rather recycle. As there's a big motorcycle dealership near my workplace I'll investigate there. Billy on the Florida Space Coast Yes, they would be, because the wood you'd be getting wouldn't be just pallet wood, but sides of crates as well.
