The art of bonsai
Bonsai, which means "potted tree" in Japanese, is the ancient art of
growing miniature trees. The creations date back to about 200 A.D. in
China, but the practice later spread to Japan.

Very nice article.
But what do you think about what it is said about the creator syndrome?

"I think it's a creator syndrome. You're controlling another life form. You
structure it. ...

Best wishes to you all.

It tells you little about the art but a lot about the speaker.

The word bonsai does NOT mean "tree" in a container or pot.

The direct translation of the word bonsai means "to plant into a tray".
The word tree is not there.

This is a common misunderstanding which has been going on for years....

But don't worry about it. Even the best bonsai texts have this wrong.
