Default [IBC] [itsybitsybonsai] introduction

Xref: kermit rec.arts.bonsai:75998

Hi John, what a surprise finding that "itsybitsy" is still alive.
Haven't had a post for at least a year!

You might want to try the newsgroup rec.arts.bonsai which is MUCH
more active (about 1000 folks), or the Internet Bonsai Club
Galleries (use the galleries link at the top of
www.internetbonsaiclub.org). If you have pics of those geraniums
use the Main or Potensai gallery. If you just have a question,
use the discussion gallery. Rec.Arts.Bonsai and the galleries
are all part of the Internet Bonsai Cub. There's a mailing list,
too (it is linked to the news group) and I'm passing your message
on to the list.

Look at www.bonsaimonk.com for one of the best sources of pots of
all sizes on the Internet. They're an IBC sponsor, so be sure to
check out some of the other sponsors on the website, too.

Hi All,

My name is John and I live in north/central Pennsylvania. I

have
enjoyed toying with bonsai for a number of years now, nothing
serious, just enjoying myself. My all time faviorite are the

mame
tropical ones. I do have about 18 mini/dwarf geraniums growing

in
this way. I like the geraniums not just for the flowers, but

they are
very forgiving when I forget to water them.

I also have another 15-20 mixed tropicals, most are under 6"

tall.
Among these are a dwarf pomegranate, chinese sweet plum, sweet
myrtle, cuphea hyssopifolia and severial flowering maples. I am
trying these on wick watering. Due to my eratic schedule I

sometimes
cannot water as often as I should!

I hope to try some fushcas and maybe some mums too. I think

that the
minis are great fun. I grow them on my enclosed pourch as well

as in
an east window.

Anyone know of a good source for mini bonsai pots? I want to

order
some. The ones I have I bought at a garden center that is

severial
hours away.

John in Pa.
