Default [IBC] Florida IBCers in our thoughts and prayers tonight

Hi there, everyone,

Watching the weather channel and in awe of the havoc Hurricane Frances is already creating in Florida. I see Vero Beach and Melbourne, and I think of our talented Charles Bevan and Rob Kempinski, and Rob's friend Dr. Reggie Perdue in Palm Bay, whom I have gotten some bougies from- and I feel so bad for them. But I know too that there are many others- Billy Rhodes, you are certainly not forgotten out there on your prehistoric dunes. You all have to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers tonight. Hopefully Mother Nature will be kind to you all.

I feel for what you are going through having grown up years ago on Long Island, and having had Jamaica Bay in my own livingroom as an uninvited guest on more than one occasion. I have vivid memories of seeing my new sod floating off down the street to be later found making the sidewalks blocks away more green.

The power and force of Mother Nature is a wonder in itself. Makes you remember how small we really are in the overall scheme of things.

Hang tough, all. Know we are with you in spirit.

I'm knocking frantically on wood as I say this, but it LOOKS
like we'll be OK in Tallahassee. They're predicting wind gusts
to 40 mph only for Sunday and Monday. LOTS of rain, though. My
house may be an island again -- it has happened before with
heavy rains; no way to go anywhere. Anyway, the storm track is
predicted to be a lot farther to the west than they thought
earlier.

HOWEVER, this storm has been as unpredictable as any of them
(It's almost stalled now, just off Palm Beach), so we're still
keeping a close watch.

It sure is screwing up my satellite TV transmission for some
reason. :-(
