Default Bougainvilla

I have a bougy thats been blooming all season very well and has gotten an
"un-kempt" look about it. Is it to late to do some fairly heavy pruning? How
far will they bud back? And finally can I try and root the cuttings, and
whats the best method to use on them.

Thanks in advance... BTW, I'm in south Louisiana, zone 9

Randall
