They all start out saying that. I'm sure they mean it sincerely.
Then you see the ming aralias and the "lucky bamboo". Pretty soon
they've got figs with the golf balls braided into the trunks and the
statuettes of the unicorns and dragons nestled under the Scheffleras.

Nina, who has a variegated abutilon, and can't cast any stones.
