writes: Yoshimura was one of the original founding members of the Yamaki Bonsai Society. Most of the original members were also members of the Bonsai Society of Greater New York, including Jerry Meyers, who was the "founder" of Yamaki and also a past president of the Bonsai Society of Greater New York. There is a lot of talent at Yamaki, and the practitioners are just great people. They are all extremely serious about the art, and this is reflected in their work. I trust that this all stems from Yoshimura's influence. It is his book that ushered me into the art.
