Default [IBC] IBC Pot

I found this information on the Smithsonian site.

May 7–September 5,
2005
Arthur M. Sackler Gallery
The English term "bonsai" embraces several styles of miniature plantings and
gardens, including Chinese penjing, which literally means "scenery in a
container," and features rocks and dwarfed trees. The pot used to hold a bonsai is
critical to its overall aesthetic impact. This display features eight antique
Chinese planters that reveal a continuum of taste ranging from imperial
opulence to restrained rusticity.

For those who didn't hear about it, penjing grandmaster Wu Yee-sun died
at age 100 on May 11, 2005. Please see
http://www.phoenixbonsai.com/Days/DaysMay.html for highlights of his life.
