Default Last years onion bulbs left over to winter

Didn't work out. They all (that I have pulled) have rotted bulbs

Leave the rest in or pull them and replace?

if there is any green growth or any live
roots on them then they may flower this year
or you can eat them as a green onion after
they grow a bit. the smaller plants may bulb
out.

They finally did bulb out, made for tasty green onions, which was their
intended destiny.

Thx,
