Considering that Geophagia is a real activity, it could be an
interesting thread. ;-) There are cultures that practice it, (probably
provides for a dietary need) and cravings for dirt can indicate severe
mineral deficiencies...

In a way, we all eat the dirt in our gardens. The plants grow in the
dirt, take nutrients from the dirt, and then we eat the plants. Some
