Default Plants go yellowish

Hi,

I'm a newbie to aquarium plants.
Currently my plant's bottom part (near the root) became yellowish, what's
the problem might be?
And some leaves were broken off...
I got CO2, Lights but just no fertilizer.
I put some fertilizer into the substrate and pour some into the water.
Will it be help?

What type of plant is it? Adding fertilizer will help but if it is a
terrestial plant, it will just rot away.
