Default Weather souvenirs - hail-size.jpg

We've recently had terrible hail - but nothing like the size of what was
in
the picture. We're in Yorkshire, England, I suspect that makes a
difference!

But you have had plenty of rain Mary, in fact more that you wanted !

Not on this hill, Doncaster, Sheffield, Hull and parts of my home city,
Leeds, but not us.

I'm surprised you know about it - the troubles in the south seem to have
wiped all memory of the north from the meeja :-)

FYI: all the hailstones we collected went into an ice chest of beer left
over from a weekend party - how's that for a green footprint?

Excellent. Although I was once taken to task for using snow to boil for tea
when our water pipes were frozen.

The only caveat is: don't eat yellow snow!

It's not all rain here in central Texas this summer. Fortunately these
were somewhat soft hail stones.
