Default White Cattleya Orchids-1937

I inherited these orchids from my mother, she inherited the original plant
from my grandfather and mine are the results of many re-pots and 38 years
later.

It is a beauty, and a nice love story to go with it.

Another stunner.
Wonderful, diffuse lighting on the orchid against the jet black
background makes the image "Pop".
What was your light source?

My light source was the sun. :-) Though the orchid was actually in light
shade, I "cheated" slightly, the background is not a result of camera
settings, as is my usual practice, but a sheet of black corflute.

Whatever corflute is, (corregated or fluted paper?) it works great for you.
I frequently use black poster board or a piece of jet black stretch
fabric (it doesn't wrinkle) to provide the background for certain pics.
The lack of distracting background elements forces the eye to
concentrate on the subject.... which seems to make the image pop.

Corflute, probably has another name in your part of the world. :-)

Maybe even a plastics store handles it.
