That is a purple and blue orchid for sure. I don't remember seeing one
of that color before.

Hmm, I'm starting to wonder if my monitor needs calibrating, the orchid
should be a light and dark mauve colour.

Beautiful. Do they grow in your garden permanently or do you keep them
in pots?

Thanks, I have some in pots and some are in the garden, mostly on logs.

Ambient light will do a lot to a photo's color.
This one has a decided red cast to a flower that's pink:

Yes, I am aware of that, but it's the second time recently that someone has
said the colour was different to what I see on my monitor.

I could be my eyes or my computer. I didn't hear anyone else comment
about the color. How does the picture compare to the Orchid in real
time? I didn't mean to be critical, I love all your photos.

There is a way to check you're monitor's color profile.
If you are using Windows, start he

I knew you weren't being critical, I was sort of having a private joke with
myself.
My monitor is calibrated, so I do know the colours are correct. :-)

Thanks Dan, my monitor is well calibrated, it has to be as I occasionally
sell photos for calendars etc. :-)
