Default sad snowbush (breynia nivosa roseo-picta)

I have a sad looking snowbush (breynia nivosa roseo-picta); it's leaves
are drying and falling off. The soil is kept moist; it is placed
indoors near a french door (direct am light and indirect light
throughout the rest of the day); it's in Santa Barbara, a couple of
blocks from the ocean (night temperature probably drops to about 50
degrees). Does anyoun know how to make this plant look happy again?
