When is poison ivy not considered "dead"..iow...if you spray poison ivy with
a weed/brush killer and the foliage is all brown and dead, is the irritant in poison ivy still a problem? Perry |

Perry Yes, it is still a problem, the oils that cause the rash are still present in the plant material. Do not burn it! The irritating compound in PI, urishiol, is chemically quite stable.
