Default Low Hop Clover?

What kills off low hop clover in the lawn? I don't mind it for itself,
but that in June and early July its stalks get tough and very hard to
cut with a scythe, owing to their very quickly dulling the edge, in
fact in less than a single stroke. Then you cut neither clover nor
grass.

My other weeds are more benign.
