Default Good indoor plants for bachelor?

Orchids. Get a couple of Phalenopsis orchids in bloom. They'll stay in
bloom for months. They're spectacular and there is almost nothing you
can do to them to kill them during the months they stay in bloom.

Treat 'em like cut flowers. When their bloom is over, get new ones. If
you decide you really want to get into it, you have plenty of time to
get your skills up.

You can buy them for about $15 a pop at Home Depot.
