Default What's the name of this flower?

Hello, All:

Could anyone tell the name of the flower in the following pictures?

It is a shrub beside some big trees in southern Virginia.

That appears to be some form of rhododendron, quite likely azalea (which
is a species of rhododendron).

Hi Roland, I think that you will find as has been suggested that they are indeed Azalea japonica (evergreen japanese Azaleas) As a keen golfer, Im always impressed by the banks of these when the hold the 'Masters Golf tournament' at Augusta National in Georgia in the spring !
