What you call 'sycamores' are far more attractive than what we call sycamores in the UK ?? Ours are Acer pseudoplatanus, yours seem to be a variety of what we know as 'Plane tree', (with Platanus x acerifolia bing the most widely planted) hence our name of 'false' plane (pseudoplatanus)
